Unlike budget bezels that use painted metal or glued inserts, RICH Factory bezels are injection-molded as a single piece of high-purity zirconia ceramic. This process eliminates seams, weak points, and the risk of the insert separating from the base. The one-piece construction also ensures the bezel rotates smoothly and maintains perfect alignment over years of use. Each bezel is fired at over 1,400 °C to achieve its final hardness and color saturation.
RICH Factory’s ceramic bezel colors are achieved through a process similar to Rolex’s Cerachrom technology. Color pigments are mixed directly into the ceramic powder before molding, so the color runs all the way through the material rather than being a surface coating. This means the bezel cannot chip, peel, or fade — even under extended UV exposure. Available colors include gloss black, royal blue, Hulk green, Pepsi red-blue, and Batman black-blue.
The numerals and graduations on RICH Factory bezels are laser-engraved and then filled with platinum or platinum-alloy powder before a final high-temperature polish. This produces a deep, recessed look with a mirror-like metallic sheen that catches light at every angle. The engraved numerals are significantly more durable than painted markings and will not wear off with regular use. RICH Factory pays particular attention to the cleanliness of the engraving on bi-color bezels, where the color transition must be perfectly aligned.
Zirconia ceramic ranks at 8.5 on the Mohs hardness scale — significantly harder than stainless steel (~5.5) and sapphire crystal (9). This makes RICH Factory bezels virtually scratch-proof under normal wear. Unlike aluminum bezel inserts that fade, discolor, or show scuffs after a few months, a ceramic bezel from RICH Factory will look factory-new for years. The only material that can scratch it is diamond or another ceramic, making it the ultimate bezel material for daily-worn watches.
